Chalakee Ranch is a 32 acre full service equine facility located in a peaceful valley across the street from beautiful Lake Guntersville. This is the home of National Fino Champion Stallion Zorro de Lago, and National Performance Champion Mare Pasion de Lago along with a herd of about 20 more geldings, mares fillies and colts.

Not only do we offer a full range of equine activies, but we recently made the addition of several bungalow style cabins which are available for nightly/weekly rentals. This a fabulous setting to enjoy our equine friends, hike, fish or just plain kick back and RELAX!

Chalakee Ranch and Cabins are the perfect place for your next family reunion, birthday celebration, weekend getaway, vacation spot or business home away from home.

We are more than happy to accommodate for your special needs-stock the frig, BBQ dinner with trimmings or steak and potatoes waiting for your arrival, romantic package for two, etc. Just ask!

Each cabin has its’ own unique style and is decorated with antique and hand made furniture, art work and accessories along with down comforters and fine linens. Rocking chairs await you on the porch and hammocks are hung in the trees awaiting that late afternoon nap or good book you’re planning to read. Sit and relax awhile while you watch Zorro and his baby’s rump and play in the pasture or if you’re a horse lover arrange for a trail ride or riding lesson.

• Small cabin- living room with twin sleeping nook, separate queen bedroom, kitchenette , gas fireplace, ceiling fans, air conditioning, vaulted ceiling , cable, dvd, and front porch
• Deluxe cabin- living area with sleeper sofa, full size sleeping nook, separate queen bedroom, kichenette , dining area, gas fireplace, ceiling fans, air conditioning, vaulted ceiling, cable, dvd and screened porch.

For parties or family reunions a large barbeque pavilion with grills, large stone smoker, tables, and fire pit is available for rent along with the “Grist Mill” private club house for an additional charge.

Trail rides (guided on your horse or ours, Riding Lessons, Basic horse care class, The Equine Experience, Hay Ride, Birthday Parties, Bat Cave adventure by boat(weather permitting)

We are a dog friendly property so bring your pooch and his leash!(Fido’s lodging is a one time $25.00 fee) You can also bring your own horse to ride. Stalls are $20.00 nightly.
